fleet cricket club

Fleet CC's first recorded match (a comfortable win against a Royal Engineers team) was noted in the 'Fleet Reporter' in September 1893, and the Club has been based at the current ground off Reading Road North since 1905.

The Club runs three Saturday sides. The Saturday 1st XI continues in Div 1 of the Morrant Thames Valley League following a mid-table finish in 2008. This built on the successful 2007 season when they were Champions in Division 2b, after finishing second in in both 2005 and 2004. The 2nd XI and 3rd XI also play in the TVL (divisions 7b and 8a respectively).

The Sunday team plays in the Three Counties Cricket League and also has a number of friendlies during the season. In addition the Club has a thriving junior section and in 2009 is running teams at U17, U15 (two), U13 (three), U11 (two), and U9.

Club sponsors include Lynchford Tyres and Holiday Autos. The Junior section has also benefited from the donation by The Lord's Taverners of superb bags of kit for U11s, U13s and U15s in recent years.

Fleet Cricket Club was granted full ClubMark accreditation in 2007. ClubMark accreditation signifies that the Club is committed to providing a safe, effective, child friendly environment and has in place procedures and policies aligned with the ECB “Safe Hands Policy” relating to the welfare of young people in cricket.

In the 'About Us' section of the site there are Web Links to local weather and to maps showing the location of Calthorpe Park (1st & 2nd XI matches) and details of the Army and Cody grounds used as alternates for 3rd XI and some junior matches.
